Laura Rahn is a certified Family Travel Coach and a military BRAT who loves to involve her family in the vacation planning process, including her two “big kids.” As her family lives by their mantra, Seldom A Dull Moment, Laura has been dreaming, designing and departing on family vacations for close to 20 years.
As a family travel coach, Laura helps empower busy moms and dads to dream, design and depart on those family vacations as they create meaningful connections and memories, while also allowing opportunities for individual and self discovery. Laura is also a retired educator with 26 years as a classroom teacher and 7 years as an instructional coach.
She currently lives in Virginia with her husband and her very lovable dog. Her 2 adult daughters live nearby and continue to be a part of family vacation planning. Some of her favorite travels have included national parks in the United States and road tripping through Alaska.
A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
MOST MEMORABLE TRIP
Our first family trip out west to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. We ventured beyond Disney World with our 8 and 10 year old daughters and discovered a part of our country that we had never seen before. The beauty of the land and the wildlife that we encountered changed us forever and we have returned many times since that first visit.
BEST TRAVEL TIP
Purchase a small digital luggage scale to have at home and on pack with you for your adventures. You don’t want to get to the airport and have that one piece of luggage over 50 lbs and have to readjust while at the ticketing counter or pay the overweight fee.
