Screens are “activating” to our nervous system and when you are activated you are not in a state of being able to digest your food. I have personally experimented with this myself and the difference is alarming. I encourage anyone to try it for themselves – see how you feel when you take a few deep breaths before a meal and only stay in the moment – chew longer, really relish your food and eat at a slower pace. I promise you’ll notice the difference and want to make this change for 2025.

These touchpoints take us back to what truly matters – a connection that grounds us in the rhythms of the natural world and reminds us of our place in the greater web of life.
